PRAY FOR HAITI

"...pray for each other that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was (hu)man, just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years." James 5:16b-17

If you would, please take time to pray for the people of Haiti - God works through the prayers of His people. Pray for aid to arrive quickly, pray for food, water and shelter to be provided - quickly. Pray for those that are missing to be found - quickly - and for the families of those who perished to be comforted. Please pray for the lives and safety of Mike Moise, Meajeanne and Schneider - residents of the Port-au-Prince area and former Haitian foster children of my brother and his family.

In the wake of this tragic catastrophe and the sudden realization that these children, that were part of our family for a time, could be among the 100's of thousands who have died, has made posting a card seem a little frivolous.

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of the people of Haiti.

Jill

Will do. It's so true that your life can be changed in seconds. That's certainly true for the poor people of Haiti. The news coverage is just awful and I'm sure it's even than it even looks on TV. I'll be re-counting my blessings today.

This is a very good reminder to all of us to count our blessings and pray for those less fortunate. The people of Haiti definately need our prayers.
