TOTALLY MALE

I played around with a new technique today and as I was working on this card I just wasn't sure I was going to like the result - but I was WRONG!!! I love it. I don't see that it looks like leather exactly (the technique name is FAUX LEATHER) but I definitely like the rugged, rough texture and the deep earthy colors I chose. I generally find masculine cards a challenge - but this one came out elegant yet totally male. It does take a little while to complete - tearing the small pieces of masking tape is time consuming - but the end result is worth it don't you think???

It's Saturday - so once you've finished the house work and errands you absolutely HAVE to do today - take the rest of the day off! Take time to play today - play with your children, your spouse, your pets, your friends - because while our creative play time is important AND necessary to our well-being, NOTHING is more important than the people you love and the relationships you build with them.

Thanks for visiting today.

Hi Jill,
Really like your card! Did you heat set the ink once you put it on the tape? I tried this technique a while ago and the ink didn't dry.
